...Sticking it to JD Byrider and CNAC like they stuck it to us...

Withheld info on car

We bought a car the first of the year from JD Byrider in Jacksonville, Fl. The car I loved. I got it home and my son who works for a car dealership in Ga. informed us that the car company that made the car is out of business. And it is very hard to get parts for it. We were never informed of this at purchase. And sure enough we had a window control go out on our car and ordered it from a GM Company and waited. The part has been ordered a month and still not in. The car is a Daiwoo. My son also told me that the car lot he works at also sold some of the Daiwoo cars but had to get a disclosure form signed by buyers saying they know the cars and parts are no longer being made. The book value of my car is $3600.00 we paid around $9500.00 for. I think this is a little extravagant concidering they do charge a high interest rate. I think it is ashame that they take advantage of people in a bad situation. If you are smart do not buy a Daiwoo.

Par for the course

What you're describing seems to be the norm over there... I too paid close to or over $10,000 for a $2-$3000 car. Daewoo too, heh. Shoulda forced JD to do the warranty work (esp. the window control should have been covered).
