...Sticking it to JD Byrider and CNAC like they stuck it to us...

CNAC

Lets start this story by saying that my wife and I had bought a car from a used car lot in GA. Quality Auto in Kingsland, GA. That car died a week after having it. It was AS IS. So..I have a loan and no car. So I thought going to JD Byrider would be my answer. They at least have a damn warranty! So I paid $500 down, and $500 extra the 1st mnth. I also had to pay for registration in Georgia..almost $300. Did that make me behind on rent and such? Yes, it did. So I spoke with them everyday and told them I will be a little late but I will catch up. I am 5 days behind but I am trying to pay today. I know...I am horrible for being late..but its expensive! I am paying $11,000 for a car that black books at about $4000. They will not take my payment! They told me they had budgeted for me and they want me to return the car asap. $1300 I will say again, I paid in the 1st mnth...I am wanting to pay today $170 (thurs) AND on this friday $170.(tomorrow)This is ridculous! I don't even know what else to say...other than I am so screwed!

WOW...No...I DON"T!!!

Here we go with the "you don't agree with me so you must work for them" BS.

I used to be a salesman for them...

Left for greener pastures...

Thats that.

I don't get you ang_celeste...

You are soooooo contradictory in your replies to me.

In some you say you realize that not all Byriders treat customers the same...then you say the company as a whole is evil...then you say you had a very pleasant experience with Byrider in the past.

Which is it??

Byrider is a very big company with many franchises. Just because some have bad employees that treat customers bad...doesn't mean the company as a whole is bad.

You know, I come here to this site mostly out of boredom and to laugh at the fictitious stories that some "customers" are telling on here.

But in the end...right is right and wrong is wrong and all I am doing is trying to make people see that just because some of the stores are run by a$$holes, it doesn't mean the company as a whole is evil.

I mean if we all subscribe to your philosophy, that means all white people are evil because some still use the N-word.

Or that all Arabs are evil terrorists because they come from the Middle East.

Its narrow minded and outdated thinking.

Lets call apples apples and oranges oranges, shall we?

Wow you work for them!

Thanks Mr Jd Byrider. No surprise you work there. It doesn't matter that they do a budget with you. Things happen. The car was put out for repossesion I now found out after a day of being late...although I was talking to the CNAC lady everyday to give her a update. She failed to tell me it was put out for repo. Regardless, JD byrider manager (or is it sales?) a company that won't work with you is not a company anyone should buy from. 1 day late and watch out..it doesn't matter what they tell you...THEY ARE AFTER YOU! Refusing to take a payment at 5 days is ridculous. OH, and when they take your car...you have to pay $100 just to get your stuff out of your car. Thats almost as much as the payment they don't accept. I have gotten a car from the one in Pennsylvania and had a lovely experience. They always worked with me. Also, its a rumor that the owner of JD Byrider died in a plane crash and his son is now running it into the ground. Have to say I notice a difference!

Split

You are making it sound as if they made you pay the second $500 at once.

When you put the initial $500 down...then the rest of the down payment is deferred, or split up over the course of about 30 days. If you told them you would pay it all at once then that is your fault. They would have split it up and I am sure they told you that.

Yes, Byrider did do a budget with you. Remember when the Finance Manger came out and asked you all of those questions about your living expenses??

Byrider does that to make sure you will have enough money left to make your payments after all of your other bills are paid.

As for having to buy plates, thats just part of buying a car. You knew it would be coming up. Why didn't you plan for it?? Start saving a little at a time for it?? You had a month? Better yet, you had the plates from the broken car...why didn't you just have those tranfered? It would have saved you money!!

Don't think of yourself as horrible...everyone pays late now and then...just think of yourself as a bad planner. If your account manager is unwilling to work with you, ask to speak with the general manager...I'm sure he/she can help...
