...Sticking it to JD Byrider and CNAC like they stuck it to us...

Voluntary Repo

I had the unpleasant experience of being a customer of JDB for a year. I faithfully paid my car note with CNAC every week. They still called and text message my phone until it started smoking!!! The account manager "Tom" was a nasty rotten person. After purchasing the 2000 Pontiac Grand Am from them, we noticed the next day the dash was full of cock roaches!!!! It took us 2 weeks to rid the car of them. The cars mirrors (both) fell off after 2 months. The check engine light baffled their so called mechanics the full year. The power steering pump leaked severely and they said "nothing is wrong with it". The transmission started leaking after 3.5 months and began to slip. They kept scheduling me 3-4 weeks out to get anything fixed and by that time, my milage warranty was expired.......Hmmmmm, that was not planned. The left wheel barring was vibrating, the front end vibrated so bad at 70 mph, I almost crashed. The seat belt in the rear for my children broke. I went to another car dealer and got a new car. I contacted JD Byrider and let them know that we traded the car in and they told me they were going to be calling the police because we broke the contract we signed ( 8. Hour ordeal at JD Byrider). As we were buying it, sitting through 8 hours of videos and such, they refused to give the purchase price and kept saying that "It is not the cost of vehicle that should be your concern, we are offering a "program" to help you." I found out after the 8 hours that the piece of garbage was $8500 plus 23% intrest. We had no other means of transportation and they knew that. They just set you up for failure by starting you up so upside down in the car you cant get out of it.

What?

Why would Byrider be mad if you traded the car in? When you trade a car in with a balance, the new dealership pays the current loan off for you. Byrider would have been pleased as punch to get the amount all in one lump sum. Not to mention that the new dealership would have had to contact Byrider for a payoff and Byrider would already be aware that you were trading in.

That part of your story is complete bull.

Kinda makes the rest of your story suspect as well.

And I'm seriously doubting that they made you sign a loan without disclosing the price. If you did sign without seeing a price, you are an idiot as well as a fibber.

And just an FYI...

Any time you buy a car you are upside down for at least the first 2 to 3 years...if not longer.
