...Sticking it to JD Byrider and CNAC like they stuck it to us...

We are Idiots!!

We got totaly *&%$ed over. My husband and I went to Dan Nelson in Des Moines Iowa to look for a new car. Me being the smart one wanted to go somewere else knowing we HAD good credit but my husband didn't. So we go and look at cars. The guy told us that he had checked with 10 lenders and not one could give us a loan. I thought that was wierd but my husband agreed that we would finance from CNAC. Well we got a 98 contour with 120,000 miles with 1,000 down for like 10k. Wow I sould have slapped him then and there. On our way driving it home the check engine light came on and the a week later the axel broke while I was driving to work. What a rip. I finally convinced my hubby after making payments of 300 a month for a year and a half to buy a nicer newer car so we did. Get this a week or so after we bought the car Capital One sent me a letter saying that they approved us for a loan. We tried to call Dan Nelson to tell them that we didn't want the POS anymore but found out that they went out of business and was currently under investigation but the Attorny General. So we Called CNAC and told them to pick the car up we were doing a voluntary Repo. Needless to say afer almost 2 years the f'in car is still with me unable to drive. They havnt called me or sent me letters. So I dont know what is up. I called a Lawyer and he said to try to find a loop hole to try to get out of this but none so far. CNAC is still reporting to my credit report as missed payments so we no longer have good credit.

You are idiots

You should be grateful that CNAC was willing to loan you $10,000 to purchase ANY car from J.D. Byrider after 10 lenders turned you down. After reading your post I wouldn't loan you $10. Did you even take to car in for service when the check engine light came on??? All cars break down...new or used...they are mechanical! J.D. Byrider would've either fixed the axel under warranty OR at a discounted price (i.e. $32/hour labor). Instead, you Screwed THEM by not holding up your end of the contract. You will now have a REPO on your credit for at least 7 years...congratulations.
