JD BYRIDE CNAC EXPERIENCE

My experience goes like this. I went through a bankruptcy about a year and a half before going into CNAC trying to get a car. I had no idea what I was in for. My credit was horrible and I had about $2,000 in savings to my name. I needed a car to get to work and I knew that I had to go through a company that would give me a loan at a very high interest rate cause my credit sucked. You only go to these places to get cars because you messed up your credit or you had some circumstances that caused you credit to get messed up. So I go there and get a car. I can afford the payments on the car even though I am not making a whole hell of a lot of money. My credit going into this was very bad. Bankruptcy ruined my credit score. So I get a car and come to find out a few months later that I was overcharged big time as far as the actual value of the car. It was very disappointing. But you have to remember there is a big risk in giving a loan to someone with bad credit. I don't like to hear the whining that a lot of people post on here. Yeah the cars suck, they are overpriced, they break down, customer service sucks etc. I agree with that. BUT IF YOU ARE GOING TO GET A CAR AT JD BYRIDER YOUR CREDIT IS HORRIBLE. You probably (like myself) should not even be trying to buy a car period. You should be living in a city where there is public transportation. Simple as that. Anyway, so its been a year and nine months since I purchased that car and have paid probably $1,500 in major repairs. I got ripped off. But I did sign up for automatic withdrawals from my checking account when I got the loan. So every payment has been on time. Since getting the car I have changed jobs to a much higher paying position which has allowed me to make all payments on time and will be paying off the loan completely by Spring of 2008 in one lump sum. I was lucky because I went from making little money and getting this car to getting a pretty good job and being able to afford the payments no problem. Since making all the payments on time my credit score has improved dramatically. I even was able to get two credit cards which has helped establish some new credit that will only help me score (as long as I pay those cards on time). So yeah we all got ripped off but I got myself into a situation where this was my best option. I looked at it as an opportunity to make payments on time and re establish my credit. I think this is the best way to look at buying a car from here. You have to be sure you can make the payments and signing up for direct withdrawals is the best thing you can possibly do. My advice is to absolutely NOT buy a car from this place. You probably should be taking the bus saving up to buy something used and private sale to get you around...NOT taking a 24% loan out to pay for an overpriced used piece of junk. Think about the payment and if you really make enough money to afford it.
